Kaiyuan Power Plant

The 2 × 300000 kilowatt project of Kaiyuan Power Plant is one of the key thermal power construction projects in the national strategic deployment of "power transmission from west to east" and the "Tenth Five-Year Plan for Yunnan Electric Power Development and the 2015 Long-term Plan". It is also a domestic domestic 300000 kilowatt circulating fluidized bed boiler project determined by the National Development and Reform Commission.

The project is the first thermal power project built by Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. in Yunnan Province. Kaiyuan Power Plant Project officially started on June 28, 2004. In June and August 2006, units 1 and 2 were handed over to production one after another.
